Debbie and I spend a lot of time this morning shopping at Target, Wal-mart, Toys R Us and two hardware stores. When we came back I fixed the doorbell and installed cable upstairs. The cable is really weird upstairs. I think that the cable company must scramble most of the channels. (maybe they offer a “cheap” cable service with just a couple of channels.) It is somewhat weird. After dinner tonight, we played Easy Money, which took a lot of work to set up, but after that it was a neat game to play. I think that everyone enjoyed it.

Well this is probably going to be my last entry for the 1997 calendar year. I will be leaving Fallbrook tomorrow, Christmas Day, for Pasadena to visit mom and grandma. I still have a lot of things to do before I leave. I haven’t even decided what stuff I am going to take with me this year. I am debating if I should take my entire computer with me, the school marquee laptop or what. I was pretty set on taking the school laptop, then I decided it wouldn’t be of much use to me and now I want to take my entire computer.
I have inherited a zip drive (the other day) and today I inherited a 15 inch monitor. I really like it a whole lot better. I can see so much more on the screen. Tom said that my Christmas present didn’t look like it was going to come until after Christmas so he gave me the monitor today. I have a feeling that the present I am getting is a new motherboard and CPU, he has made lots of hints at how much I need a new, faster, computer. It is also possible that he would be having the Kenwood rapid charger shipped, but I don’t think it is. I’m pretty sure it’s a new motherboard and CPU.
I found a web site today called Secret Admirer. You can anonymously send secret admirer messages to another net user. They return to the web site and send out messages to people that they secretly admire. If the two people send messages to each other, then another message is sent out that “we have a match.” It sounds like a neat thing. … ^^^I’m pretty sure that I got an email from them and I didn’t just stumble across it for those of you that are wondering.^^^
I think I’m going to hit the sack now, … then let “Santa” come for a visit. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year! See you next year if I don’t see you before then. This is Scott Chester, kf6jxt, signing off.

OK I’m bored!!!!!! Two days into vacation and I am pretty much bored already. Around noon today Tom and I went by the high school to change the marquee and pick up my bike. I saw Emily Forrest while we were there. She said “hi.” I drew a Christmas Tree on the marquee.
This evening Gayle & Oscar Olson came by for dinner. It was very interesting and it was nice because it made me clean up my room and make my bed. It also broke up a lot of the boredom. We talked about a lot of things and learned a lot. After they left, I got to have fun with the dishes – fifty-three minutes worth. Me and my dishpan hands are going to bed now.

Today was interesting. The bells stopped working at the high school during nutrition and it was just somewhat of a weird day. After school, I got stuck with helping Chris, Wendy and Melissa with the video. After that, Mike was able to convince me to go with him to the ASB Christmas Party at Michelle Moffat’s house. It was fun, but not completely what I had expected. Aimee was supposed to be there, but wasn’t, same with Colby. I just sent Aimee an email asking her why she wasn’t there. When I called her house, I was told that she was still at a game. The party wasn’t bad, it was somewhat interesting. Well, I’m going to go to sleep now and dream …

Yesterday I finished putting up Christmas lights around the entire house. It was a little scary on top of the big ladder way up where the birds are. It was fun and interesting, but it still had the scary side. Afterwards Matthew and I spent a lot of time playing Laser Challenge, which is a game in which we shoot infrared lasers at each other. This way we know when we have been shot.

Last night, Chris, Wendy and I put pictures on video for this Friday’s video assembly. I didn’t get home until 12:40 and I will tell you now that it will not happen again. I’m still tired from what happened about 20 hours ago, so I’m going to go dream …

I just got my second progress report yesterday. My grade in English is still a D. Tom has decided that I can no longer participate in any activities at the school and must come home right away. I really need to get my grades up a lot and I have been trying to, but I obviously need to try a whole lot harder. I am going to do another grade check tomorrow and hopefully my grades will have gone up a little bit. I really want to get my grade in English up to a C before Christmas break and then try my best to bring everything up to B’s or higher immediately after Christmas break. I’m not sure what to do. I have been putting off talking with Mr. Howard for quite a long time now and I think that it is finally time to talk with him about drastically improving my grade.
