Today was lots of fun. I remember now why block days are not all that great. Two hours of Algebra, English and Chemistry are not fun. The day just seems too long and too pressuring w/o having ASB. After school Nathaniel, Ryan and I helped Mr. S setup for the Academic Decathlon which was hard because Thursday school was still in the cafeteria. After that Nate and I washed the golf cart. It looks really nice now. After that we went to the Youth Task Force meeting where we did some planning for the concert next Friday.

Block Days :(
It was weird having a block day today – we haven’t had one for a long time. World History was “fun” as normal. During advisory I was called to the career center because they were probably having some kind of problem with the TV/VCR in there. I spent most of fourth talking with Chris Meehan and others in Dance and going back and fourth to Ag trying to get in contact with Kim Robinson about the message on the marquee. One of the times I was down at dance I gave away a ton of sodas and Stacey told me to bring her one during Spanish. I brought her a Dr. Pepper and I also brought a Coke for Kate. About halfway through the period I went to the career center because I had to get out of the room. I couldn’t think or do anything. About 20 minutes later I came back, but never actually made it back into class because I ran into Stacey and Kate on the way and helped them with the Spanish assignment. I did learn some more about Kate while I was working with her which was nice. …
Fine Arts Assembly
Nathaniel and I had fun this morning along with Chris at the fine arts assembly. Nate Dog and I missed most of the day of school today which of course isn’t new for me, but it is somewhat bad for him. Kate wasn’t in Spanish today. I don’t’ know where she was, but she was there earlier during the assembly. Don’t know what happened to her. Stacey also wasn’t there. We took a test in Spanish and I think I did bueno.
Raining in Paradise
It was raining this morning so I got to wake Tom up and have him give me a ride to school. He wasn’t already awake like he was the other time. I still can’t get over that. Once I got to school I went up to the D.O. to take pictures of Gayle’s grandson, but neither she nor anyone else was around before seven. I went back up again during fourth. I missed Chemistry because I was working with Gayle and then working in the career center. I was then late to Spanish because I was returning projectors to TV and then later in Spanish I had to take the cart down to be serviced. It’s really weird to drive now. The brakes work differently and the steering is somewhat different. I wonder if it will be faster tomorrow when I take it off charge. In Spanish we had a contest between the sides of the room and I, along with three others, were not on a side. Stacey said that she wanted me on their side, which really made me happy. I really like to be needed. I forgot to ask Mr. S about getting a key to TV, but I will try to ask him if I have a quiet chance tomorrow.
Tomorrow morning Chris is going to pick me up and we are going to set-up for the “Fine Arts Assembly” tomorrow. They want sound running by 6:00 so that they may start practicing. Last year I didn’t start setting up until late in the day. Oh well. At least I’m getting a ride to school out of it. I need to go to bed so I that I can get up EARLY tomorrow morning.
I Did My Homework
I spent most of the morning cleaning the kitchen and playing Monopoly with Matthew. It was really weird to not spend the entire day working on homework and it feels so much better to have everything done already. I would have really liked to gotten to some paying work, but I didn’t ever really think I was going to. Maybe next weekend I will be a little more lucky cause I could really use the money. I chatted with Aimee a little bit today through aim, read my e-mail, worked on Gayle’s web page and worked on the PN II test. It wasn’t a bad day, but it was a little boring. I’m hoping that with the upcoming rain I will still be able to ride to school on at least Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. That’s about all folks.
Summer Job, Already?
Today wasn’t half bad. It was actually rather good. I spent the morning blowing and vacuuming along with watching TV and tracking down some overhead projectors for Tina and The League. Tina called me this morning while I was still in bed and asked me where her overhead projectors were and I told her that I knew nothing about them. Chris was headed out of town to LA so he couldn’t help too much unless I couldn’t get a hold of anyone else. I was able to find Fritz and connect him and Tina with two projectors. I really love for getting things like that done. I’m not sure why but I like it. I guess it makes me feel like I’m needed and I like that feeling – it’s security, I guess. I know that it lets me get away with a good deal of things that most people can’t do.
After I had fun this morning I did some of my homework and just have a little bit left. It really feels much better to have done almost everything instead of leaving everything until the last minute. I also got around to making a practice test for Spanish class and put it on the web. That made me very proud of myself. I hope that it will help me and others prepare for the test. I sent Mrs. Zapata an e-mail message about it and if she checks her e-mail maybe she will tell her students about it and people will start using it. That’s one more thing that I live for – helping people. It’s just what I enjoy doing I guess and I get a lot of rewards for it also.
This afternoon I got worried when Tom & Matthew didn’t show up after 3:30 and never showed up for baseball practice. They had gone on a hike this morning and I had thought they were planning on going to baseball practice which started at 1:30 and didn’t end until 3:00. They apparently went on a really long hike and didn’t plan on going to baseball practice.
Tom and I talked about what I might do over the summer and pointed out that I should attempt to get jobs at the other computer store in Fallbrook (not Coast), zNET and TFB along with CalTech. I think it might actually be fun to work for TFB or zNET working for tech support or something like that. Especially if I could do most of it from home. I believe that the jobs have a lot of downtime that would allow me to do whatever I wanted while I was there or here. It also probably pays more than $5.15/hour. I really should probably look into making WebPages for people or working for some company doing tech support so that I could make some extra money to let me have better equipment so I can eventually have more fun. I guess I’ll think about it and maybe do something about it later. See ya.
I Did My Homework
… I’m glad that basketball season is over now. I don’t have to do any more music or anything for them, but I probably won’t get to see nearly as much of the cheerleaders. I do admit that we have gotten to know each other better mainly because of basketball. And, as you probably noticed, they have a big influence on me. Nina was actually able to get me to come back to the high school on Wednesday to play their music.
I really impressed Mrs. Zapata today when I showed up for class two minutes before the “leave-class” bell for the class before it rang and did my homework perfectly and typed it. It really feels good to have done all of my homework and be ahead. I really hate going into class unprepared like I did in English today. (I had forgotten to bring home “Lord of the Flies” so couldn’t read chapter 3 for our test today. Oops!)
Cheerleaders
Not much happened today, but yesterday was somewhat interesting. All throughout the day I tried to make sure that no one would be expecting me at the basketball game that night and when I left I thought everything was set and would be fine. Little did I know that at 5:06 Nina Ropes would page me and want me to come down to the high school and play music for them. The entire night was worth it when I just saw the expression on Nina’s face when I walked in the door! Her face just lit up with joy. Jennifer Witek also hugged me. (She and I are getting married according to her.) Unfortunately, they didn’t have their CD and Aimee didn’t make it back in time, but I made them do their dance after the game was over and it all worked out fine. I left right after the varsity game started, but I hear that we lost.
When I got home I talked on the phone with Nathaniel for an hour and a half and made a desktop background for my computers out of pictures …
Today was normal. I didn’t do anything special. Ghelber told me that ASB would buy me a pager as long as I paid for the service. I thought that was pretty cool and I did some looking in to it this afternoon. PageNet charged $9.95/month + $.40/page. PageMart charges something like $23 with 100 pages included. I need to do a little more work so that I can decide exactly what I want, I really want to make sure that somehow a person can page me toll-free from a payphone. Hasta manaña.
I’m Sorry Aimee
Today was just another day for most of the time, until later. Mrs. Zapata wasn’t in class today and didn’t leave us any work at all so I left and just drove around campus. After school Susan came down and picked me up as I left Tina, Aimee and Amy Larsen in the old ASB office making posters for the boys’ basketball team for tomorrow. Just a couple minutes ago Aimee and I were chatting on AIM and her boyfriend started talking with me asking why I was trying to hit on his girlfriend. A couple minutes afterward he was warning me and warning me so I blocked him and then warned him back until he was completely at 100% he was able to get me up to 30%, but I quickly logged off so he couldn’t do it anymore. I then sent Aimee and pretty mean message that I am sorry about sending now. I really got mad about him warning me and just lost it. Aimee I’m sorry.
Another Interesting Day
Another one of those interesting days that you just can’t explain half of what happened. I started off the day at the doctors where he froze a little bit too much of my hand which hurts a lot now. When we got home I surprisingly started working on homework. I have now finished my poetry project, at least for the time being. I still need to do my world history stuff and some other small things. I think that I may do something with Net Computers, or the Netscape-Microsoft browser fight or maybe the Netscape/AOL IM. I kind of like the last idea the most. Maybe I’ll start working on it tomorrow. Someone from the Ag Department at the hs paged me earlier this morning and they want me to put up an ad for them on the marquee about their flower sales. I didn’t do it today, but I plan on going down there “first thing” tomorrow morning to put it up. Oh well, I’ll see you later.
Short Week
Today wasn’t too bad. I’m really glad that the week was so short, except that I didn’t really see Aimee at all the entire week. I also didn’t spend too much time with any of the other cheerleaders, except that Jennifer Witek asked me if I would marry her. The first time I just kind of laughed, the second time she asked I said ya, sure. Today was hectic because of all the Valentines Balloons that we sent out. I’m sure we made a good deal of money on those. We spent the entire period delivering and we still hadn’t finished by the end of the day. … It’s very odd this short week with not really doing any extra work any day. It seems weird; I’m just so used to staying after school on Fridays for basketball or whatever. Things will hopefully get really nice after air-bands because I will hopefully be able to drive. I really hope that I pass on the first try and I’m pretty sure that I will. I think the only things that I need to worry about are if I get nervous on a hill, looking for cross traffic at intersections and curb parking.
Another Day
Today was just about the same as yesterday except that I missed Spanish to help Chris edit some music. After school Nathaniel, Ryan and I attended the youth task force meeting. It wasn’t bad, actually it was very short. After the meeting, we dropped Nathaniel back off at the high school so that he could videotape Girls’ Basketball for me and picked up my bike. Not much else has happened.
Another Interesting Day
Today was another interesting day. Not much happened. It didn’t rain. I came home pretty quickly after school, but didn’t get any homework done for quite a while. Travis came over and we made him an audio tape for his car. Other than that I can’t think of anything that has happened at all. See ya later.
More CD Joys
Today was a pretty regular, boring old day. I didn’t go anywhere or really do anything. I did my chores: cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and trimming a tree. Other than that I just did homework and surfed the Internet. I tried writing another CD (actually a CD-rw) and it worked, but I found out that only a few CD drives will actually read a CD-rw. I’m going to bed now. See ya.
New Computer
Well, it seems like the new computer is actually working now. I am no where near having it to a full point of working, but it is close. It’s got the essentials on it now – Word, Netscape and CD Maker Pro!!! I made a high quality CD this evening. It’s really cool. I love it. I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get this far. I had no problems writing it since I got the Pentium. I think it just needed more ram and a faster processor, like I kind of originally thought. I’ve got lots more to say about the last week since I got the new computer, but I really need to go to sleep, so I’ll see you tomorrow, hopefully.
