Raining in Paradise

It rained for a good portion of the day today and is probably still raining now. It started during second period and I got soaked just going from 154 to the old ASB office. It was a little overkill. Fortunately the weather allowed me to travel to the HS this morning before it started raining. It will be really nice about a month from now when I can drive myself to the HS when it is raining. It will be nice, but I’m still planning on riding whenever possible. I figure I can save a lot on gas money and get a good workout while I’m at it.

CD-DA Joys

Today wasn’t all that bad. I lost my chance in Howard’s class to sit next to April again. I guess the girl that used to sit there transferred out, like I had thought, but another girl transferred in and took her spot. I was going to ask him about moving right after class. I can’t believe that happened. During lunch we had a burping contest – guys vs. the girls. Believe it or not, the girls won! I found that hard to believe. I think the girl’s name who burped the loudest was Lindsey Kanewisher, but I’m not completely sure. After school I mainly acted as a cheerleader shuttle. I took Kate and Jennifer up to the track, then took Aimee and Heidi down below and back up top. After that I went to the career center, somehow one of the computers lost its Windows 95. I’ve got to go back and start working on it again tomorrow morning. My CD burner still isn’t working properly. I think I’m just going to leave it until I get my new computer and install it in there. Hopefully everything will work when I run it from the new computer. I also discovered that if you add tracks to a CD later, a normal CD-DA player will not recognize them, I think because they are stored after the toc. Computers seem to notice them however. I really want to get this working. I already have people lined up waiting to use it, but I can’t seem to accurately make audio CDs. Oh well, I’ll figure it out soon, or return it.

My First CD-Burner

I spent this morning doing chores and getting Ghelber set up on the Internet. This afternoon Mr. T. and I went to CompUSA to purchase a case for the laptop and a CD burner. After that we went to Wal-Mart and got new shoes for me, for $9.97!!! Wow! Once we finally got home, I installed the CD burner and tried to burn an audio CD without luck. I found out that I had to have a reader and a writer, so I needed another CD drive installed. (I had removed my other two CD drives.) After I installed another CD drive, I still had another problem, which I have yet to figure out. I’m going to see if I can’t find a way to write audio to the CD. That is the entire reason that I got it was to burn audio CDs. It has a great software program to write the CDs, I’m just having problems getting it to finally write them. Hopefully I’ll figure it out really soon.
