The school day was pretty much normal today. During Spanish we worked in partners for a little bit today. I got the pleasure of working with Kate. Even though we didn’t do anything it was interesting. After school Nathaniel, Ryan, Fritz and I ran a cable to the forty building so that we can tape the egg drop tomorrow if the rain allows us to. After that Nathaniel and I tried to figure out how we are going to get power for the sound at tomorrows baseball dedication ceremony.

Today was just another normal day. I didn’t do anything interesting or different all day.

Yesterday was the 14th Annual Air Band Championship at the UCSD Rimac Arena in La Jolla. It was kind of fun, but I still don’t know who won! I took Nathaniel down there and we left at nine o’clock, thinking it would have been over by then. I’m really glad that we left when we did because traffic was really terrible on the 15 and it hailed making it almost impossible to drive. We were doing 20 mph for a couple of miles on the freeway and then we got completely stopped because there was a traffic accident. They completely stopped traffic during the accident. By the time we got up there everything had been completely cleared. I hope that whoever was involved in the accident was not seriously injured.

Today I spent the entire day doing homework. I haven’t even done any chores yet this weekend! I spent most of the time reading my book for my book report which I just finished around nine tonight. It’s due tomorrow. I’m going to sleep now, bye!

The school day was pretty much normal again today. It did some more raining on and off all day. After school I worked with Norma and Mrs. Griener with the cheer applications to see who had an ASB card or not and did some other stuff with the cheer applications. I also spent about 45 minutes talking with Dominique’s mom when she came in to buy some Air Band tickets.

This evening I attended the 1997-98 Cheer Banquet. It was pretty fun. I didn’t think that I would enjoy being there nearly as much as I did, but it was just hilarious almost the entire time. I really love working with most of those girls and I’m going to miss the seniors who won’t be around next year. …

Today was just another day really, but it was a little interesting. It rained some more to make things even better. Algebra was normal. For student council we were supposed to go to the cafeteria for food and a unity presentation. I went for the food, but then left. In English we took a test on Lord of the Flies and I actually did pretty well on it. In Chemistry we did a lab that wasn’t too bad. It wasn’t particularly fun, but it wasn’t too awfully bad as some of the others have been. I found out after school that Mr. Howard went to the hospital sometime during lunch. I hope that he is OK. He isn’t my favorite teacher, but I don’t want anything to happen to him.

After school I stayed around for a while and stocked some candy machines with Nathaniel. We didn’t do too much else, but for some reason I didn’t get home until five. I then left the house at 6:30 and went back to the high school to watch “Super Spy” practice. It was somewhat interesting and it turned out good for them that I was there. I didn’t have a bad time – Nina, Dominique and Aimee were all there. Hey I probably would have been having fun if I was just sitting there and so were they. I called Jen tonight, but she wasn’t home. I guess she was still at Cal Poly. Pomona or wherever she went. I hope she remembers to bring her cheer application.

Today was the good block day. As I was driving to school this morning it started to drizzle a little bit and it drizzled for the rest of the day except for a couple times when it rained hard. In Mr. Stepan’s class I got to go to TV and get a video for us to watch. When I came back we planned an infomercial to present to the class about socialism. I’m the scriptwriter. That is going to be very hard. I’m really hoping that I get some good ideas tomorrow when I try to write it. About a half an hour before class was out we started to watch a movie called The Day After. It is about the possibilities of a World War II.

During student council we spent most of the time arguing about how ASB isn’t doing as well as we used to since Burton left. We don’t get the gym as much, etc. During fourth period I didn’t do much. I went to the career center and fixed a printer. I also ordered two batteries for the video camera. I asked Mrs. Zapata at the beginning of Spanish if I could move to where Stacey used to sit because it was easier to see and she had absolutely no problem with it. Sure, fine, do whatever you want. Then I got a little worried that Kate had transferred out of class because I had seen her earlier during the day yet she was at least ten minutes late to class. I think she was up at Ag, because I saw her walking that direction at the beginning of lunch. During Spanish we watched the rest of Evita. Kate and I didn’t do any talking, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her the entire period. She is soooooo wonderful. I love the way she looks.

After school I tried to find Nathaniel so that I could give him the balloons that he had left in the ASB office before. I went down to the bus loading zone to look for him. When I gave up I gave the balloons to Al and told him to give them to Nathaniel if he saw him and he let them go! When I got back up to ASB, Nathaniel was waiting there. I don’t have any idea why he decided to stay after school today, it was raining, so anything that had been planned I’m sure was cancelled and even if it wasn’t, we weren’t going to videotape it.

When I got home I agonized about doing homework for a while and then got motivated to get a 4.0 this semester so I did all my homework for tomorrow and even surfed the web for information about Lord of the Flies. After reading Lord of the Flies I called Jen to see if she was planning on turning in her cheer application and why she wasn’t at gymnastics practice. I found out that she was not feeling 100% so she went home and that she is planning on turning it in tomorrow. I also got my driver’s license today in the mail, Oh boy! I love the picture.

Wow! Lots has happened since Friday. On Saturday two guys came out and changed the oil in all the cars. Soon after they finished I took off for Pasadena where I spent the night. Debbie and I did some shopping, actually a lot of shopping. It was fun and I had a good time. I think that otherwise my weekend would have been much more boring. Sunday night I had a meeting at the high school regarding the nominating convention. …

On Monday I spent the morning doing chores, mainly washing the windows. In the afternoon I did my homework and went to the high school to clean out the cabinet in the old ASB office. I also went to the ATM machine to deposit some money.

Today, I found out that I got a 95% on my Algebra II test. We have now entered Trigonometry and I am a little scared. I really like algebra, and don’t care too much for the rest of it. In World History we had a talk day. That was fun and I needed it. In English we talked about some things as well as discussing how our school was more like a prison than most people realized. In Chemistry we took a test which wasn’t too bad, but the board problem was really hard. In Spanish we started to watch Evita. It’s a very odd movie, but I guess it is really more of a musical so it is supposed to be like that. I also found out that Stacey is no longer in our Spanish class which is kind of a bad thing, but I figure it could give me a chance to get to know Kate better. I’m thinking of asking Mrs. Zapata tomorrow if I can change seats to where Stacey used to sit (right next to Kate). I’ll tell her that I want to sit closer to the beginning of the room and that it is a little hard to see behind Josh’s head. I don’t see why she wouldn’t let me move.

After school Nathaniel and I videotaped Baseball and Gymnastics. I think today during the Gymnastics meet I really “fell in love” with my fiancée, Jennifer Witek. I’ve learned a little bit more about her and have found that she is a very interesting person. I really enjoy being with her and don’t like not being around her. She is just crazy enough for me, but seems to have enough self-control to not completely loose it like some other people I know. Hopefully she and I will continue to get closer and who knows – maybe eventually, she will actually be my fiancée. (Don’t tell me I’m dreaming please – I really like this environment. I just wish it was more real!)

I just adjusted my braces for the first time and man do they hurt! Owe! Our test today in Algebra was very easy. It was the test made by the book company and I think that I got at least a 95% on it and am hoping that I got it all right. Mr. Stepan made me mad again today because he gave us _ hour to finish up our homework or do whatever else we wanted and he wouldn’t let me go to ASB or anywhere. I really hate how he wastes my time like that. Why should he care anyway that I’m leaving. I’m not doing anything in the class. I just don’t understand. During nutrition, Mrs. Greiner asked me to take her up to the D.O. and I did but I didn’t make it back in time to make it to class on time. Ghelber came up looking for me and was not happy that I took the cart without telling him. At lunch we had a student council meeting, how fun! Chemistry was easy, I’m so glad that he postponed the test until Tuesday. In Spanish we turned in work and took a test. After school I tried to go home as soon as I got a chance, but Wendy showed up and I went down to TV with her. After that Ghelber and I talked and then we went and got some revenge on Mr. Cummins. (He had put Ghelber’s phone in the refrigerator earlier today.)

I’m really hoping that I will get a chance to do something interesting with someone this weekend. Ghelber told me that I was one of the ten most popular students at FHS. If that’s the case, why don’t I have anything fun to do all weekend? …

Yesterday Matt Dixon managed to break the windshield on the golf cart. He says that he had his feet up in the window and accidentally pushed it forward to far and it got a big crack. Also yesterday, Kate gave me a thank you card for her CD. … Receiving the card from her was definitely worth the gift. Not to mention the hour some we got to spend together making the CD. I really enjoy being with her and wish I could spend more time with her. I don’t care what we would be doing, I just want to spend time with her. Ghelber asked me about her today and I admitted to him that I like her. It’s definitely true. I hardly ever stop thinking about her. She is just so unique.

Today was not completely bad. After school I had to go to the orthodontist and I can no longer speak properly, swallow or spit. It is really bad. This appliance is way to low in my mouth and restricts too much of my tongue movement. After my mouth was tortured, I came home and did my homework. I’m going to try my best to get straight A’s or get as close to them as I can. I really want to get a GPA of 4.0 or better. I can get two B’s in normal classes as long as I get A’s in my honors classes and get exactly a 4.0. That’s pretty easy. I don’t see any good reason why I wouldn’t be able to get an A in Algebra II, World History, TA and Chemistry. That would allow me to get a B in English and Spanish. Let’s work hard and keep up the hope.

Not much happened today. I went to all my classes and that was about it. I was really tired all day. When I got home I did my homework and then cleaned up my room. It is starting to look a whole lot better. I cleaned up my desk and the area around it. I still have two more corners that need work, and one of them is going to be really hard because of all the magazines in it. I really wish we could find a new place to store all the magazines. That’s about it. Hasta manana.

Today was fun. I didn’t wake up until 11, but my day was packed until about 8 o’clock. After I took a shower I had Tom trim my hair. After that I went down to the high school and put away the golf cart and changed the marquee. Then I ran by the bank and dropped of Fritz’s keys at his house. After that I went to Kate’s house and picked her up. Then we came back here and made her a CD. It was fun. I didn’t get to know as much about her as I had hoped to learn, but it was an interesting experience and I hope that we can continue to get to know each other better.

I managed to go to every one of my classes today. It was really hard to go to all three. Fourth period was, of course, the hardest! Apparently, I missed registration in my History class on Monday so I got to try again today. I really enjoyed Spanish today because I got to spend a lot of time talking with Kate. I really want to get to know her better. I found out that she is not going to the fashion show on Saturday and I think I might try to get her over here either before or after the show, or maybe Sunday. Either that or find out what she want’s and bring it to her later. I’m not going to her party because I will be at coastal air bands in Oceanside. I’m planning on giving a blank CD to Jen to give to Kate for me at the party. Then, on Saturday or Sunday Kate can come over here and we can make her a CD. I guess that is what I will have to do because I won’t see her until Friday. Maybe I can stop by her house on my way home from Oceanside.

Well, my life has been very crazy since I got my license. I have practically been living at the school due to air bands. They were fun. We spent a lot of time there and I am really hoping that we get paid for what we have done considering we took so much time out of our lives. The surprise party for Chris went pretty well. It was a piece of cake to get him out of the gym and then I went and got food and other stuff for the party. When he walked in we silly stringed him good, he really wasn’t expecting it. Then later he was thrown into the pool along with Mike, Wendy and lots of other people. Wendy tried to get me in, but I really did my best to resist and succeeded.

Air Bands were good. The Furious IV band was not the best and they were way to loud. I think I lost a lot of hearing due to the headsets we were using for video. It really sucks to not be able to change your own volume. Aimee’s group, The Air Band Formally Known as Super Spy, got first place and $500. Maddog and a Harley-Davidson group got second and third. Friday is the coastal classic which Ghelber and I are going to. Unfortunately, it conflicts with a party that I was invited to at Kate Kirkpatrick’s house. Jennifer invited me to a surprise party for Kate. It’s for her 16th birthday. I think I will make her a CD. I’ve been trying to decide how to do it, but I think I may have her come over here with her CDs and mine and she can choose exactly what she wants. Either that, or she can give me a list of her favorite songs, but I’m not sure that is exactly the best choice. I think I’ll bring her over here on Saturday or Sunday and she can choose exactly what she wants.

Well today was my birthday and it was pretty damn good. I passed my drivers test with flying colors – I didn’t miss anything. It was nice, we didn’t go on the freeway or anything, just went out for a little spin. Fourth period Ghelber and the attendance office staff tried to throw me a surprise party, but I was able to catch on before they were able to surprise me. After I got my license, I went to the HS and spent a good deal of time there. Chris showed up and started bringing in air band stuff. Then we started getting power ready. It’s late and I’m going to sleep now. Hasta.

Well, just three more days now until my driving test. Today was just about normal until Spanish when Kate and Stacey told me that they had lost money in the machines and we left to go find out what was wrong. We ended up spending the entire period doing that and then stocking machines. It was rather fun actually. I enjoy spending time with Stacie and Kate. This was the first time that we let Kate sit in the front of the cart. Now we can’t joke about that anymore because she has now sat in the front.

I tried to get a key to TV again today, but I was told that because of liability and some other things that they could not issue them. I really think that is going to hurt me a lot. I hope that maybe after Chris leaves I will be able to convince them that I have to have keys or else someone else is going to have to do a lot more work.

I just got off the phone with Aimee and I just have to say how much I love her. Her eyes are sooo beautiful. … Hasta manaña.
