Denny’s

Well can’t say that I have much to report tonight. Didn’t do much today, but sit at home and be lazy. Watched some TV, some movies and didn’t really get anything done. I did email a quote off to Greg for crossroadstv.net, but that was about all that I accomplished for the day which is too bad because I was hoping to get my room cleaned up and maybe get through my stack of mail and maybe even through some of the email. Well, I guess there is tomorrow, although tomorrow is shaping up to be pretty busy, at least for this week. I’ve got a memorial service in the morning and an orientation for Palomar in the evening.

I did drive down to San Marcos tonight to see The Italian Job with Nathaniel. The movie was actually incredibly good as I’ve heard from Alison – and as reflected by its rating in Netflix. Anyways, it was good – much better than the pretzel which I was really looking forward to having that didn’t taste much better than the ones in Temecula. After the movie we met Megan Dahl at Denny’s in San Marcos, where Dennis and Tommy are now working. That was kind of cool to meet up with them again, but just wasn’t the same as it was at Fallbrook. Oh well!

Remembering Important Dates

I head an interesting thing at a wedding the other day. The clergy was telling the story of how the groom asked the bride to marry him. Apparently, he spread rose pedals around her apartment and intermixed notes with the dates (and meanings) of important past events. I was thinking that this could be an interesting idea to use in the future. Put down the day we met, first date, first kiss, whatever and then the current date “The day I asked you to marry me,” or maybe instead, leave the day blank and just the note “the day you agreed to become my wife.” In the actual example, the final note was meet me at the embarcadero at sunset. While I like the idea, I think the whole “meet me” thing is a little weird and has already given it away, but it isn’t one hundred percent confirmed. Leaving the last note as I described, I think would put the finishing touches on everything.

I started looking at my school schedule for the next year today and can’t decide which classes I should be taking and how to fit them into my schedule. The big problem I’m having right now is trying to decide if I should keep my on campus summer classes or ditch them so that I’ve got more free time this summer to work on projects. I’m thinking that even if I keep the classes I’ll still have this week along with three weeks in between sessions that I can use. I’m also hoping that the nine units I’m planning on taking this summer won’t completely keep me busy and that I’ll have some amount of time to work on other stuff that I’d like to get done.

I’ve been debating recently about sending a letter to … some of my other “friends” that I’m going to probably loose touch with this year … The note would be something like what one would write in a yearbook, but would be on a note card or something. …

Oh well, I don’t know. It’s 2:45 in the morning, so I think I’m going to go to sleep now.

Try Again

I’ve decided that once again, I really need to try to find the time to do this because no one else is going to capture my memories for me – no yearbook, or even the things written in the yearbook will capture nearly as well as my daily intercourses will. I know that I will miss many things, even when writing on a daily basis, but that’s just going to happen. For example, today during the wedding when the clergy was talking about how they met and stuff along those lines … Even my entries in here don’t make it clear what happens. …

Let’s see… Sense February, probably the big thing that I’ve done was end up going to Stockton to look at the University of the Pacific. … I had been thinking about it a bit, but when Audrey told me that she was going up there I decided that I had to go. So I spent all the money on driving up there, on a hotel room and all the associated stuff, just so that I could check out this school …

I’m not sure what else more to tell you other than I keep spending money like there is no tomorrow. Recent purchases include the 12” powerbook and just last week a dvd duplicator. I keep telling myself that there is no more money to spend, yet I keep finding something that I need to spend it on. … I also know that I’m going to “have” to buy a new G5 when them come out here, not too far in the future.

Fallbrook High had graduation last night. I managed to miss it again this year. I was stuck at the Mission Theatre working on installing the Telex system that Patty purchased. Alison and Alana seemed rather mad that I wasn’t going to be there, but as you know, I was never big on events like that. I am quite a bit saddened that a large portion of the people that I know at the school are now gone. I think I’m only going to hang in there for another year and then I think I’m going off to SDSU or maybe somewhere even better. …

Well, it is now tomorrow and I think I’ve typed more than enough for one night. I could probably have summed everything I’ve said so far up into a couple words: …
