The Peterman Sisters

I ended up watching some more TV and then watching “Cheaper by the Dozen” with Matthew. After that I got in the shower, stopped by the high school to get Ryan a camera for whatever he had going on tonight and then it was off to GT for a wedding that started 45 minutes late! Desoree and I got into talking about food today because I heard her say something about Cheesecake. Of course, before our conversation I was stuffed, but after our conversation I was craving Cheesecake! I’m going to have to fine sometime to go here… I was hoping that Aimee and I could go there Monday night, but it looks like that isn’t going to work out… maybe I’ll just go by myself!

Anyways, I didn’t end up seeing “13 Going on 30″ tonight, instead Bouse and I went to Outback and then Lauren and Amanda met us there. Batch was supposed to meet us there, but he got out late and just ended up meeting us at the movie theatre so that we could see “The Prince and I.” I think it was a good movie, but I think the only one watching it was Batchelor as the rest of us were busy getting into fights… Well, actually I guess it was the three children that were getting into fights and I was just trying to catch the girls as they fell on the ground.

After the movie we headed over to Friday’s for day 4 in a row and day 5 out of 6. I guess we could argue that it was Sunday when we got there… Tonight I had there strawberry daiquiri because I was in the mood for something different and I wasn’t impressed at all… better stick with the mudslides and the strawberry lemonade. I think that it is now time for bed… I still want to go for a ride in the morning, but I think those changes of that happening are dwindling by the second! I need to go for a ride because I’m working every morning Monday through Thursday at the Bob.

13 Going on 30

We’re so going tonight!!!!! I have to work from 4-8 so we can either go before or after. I think that Batch is working until about 10, but the last show is 9:45 at Edwards. There is a 10:30 at Cal Oaks, I haven’t been there for a while.

So much for going to sleep early! OK… so are we going to go early…. like 12:45 at Edwards or are we going to go to the late show??? Someone needs to let me know so that I can get my butt in the shower!

Last Night

I ended up getting out of GT shortly after 11 and immediately drove out to Friday’s for yet another night at the Bar. I was actually still kind of full from lunch at Oscar’s so I just got breadsticks and a mudslide. I was so tired that shortly after we paid the bill I got up to leave and nobody got up with me, even Tina who said she wanted to go home… Bouse & Tina said they were going to ride back with me so that Batch didn’t have to drive back into Fallbrook, but they didn’t come with me when I told them that this boat was leaving. I waited in the parking lot for a couple as I was rewetting my eyes so I could make it home, but they never came out so I just left, came home and went straight to bed.

I woke up around 9:15 this morning and I don’t think that I’m going to make it for a ride as it is already getting rather warm outside. Maybe I can plan on an early ride tomorrow after getting a good nights sleep maybe! I’m not sure what is going on today… I feel like just laying in bed and watching TV all day long.

Of course Pat has now got me thinking … I think I was much happier back in those days.

Speaking of happy days… people keep telling me that I seem happy lately or something along those lines… Do I seem happy? I don’t think of myself as really happy. Maybe I’m just doing a good job pretending or something…

Anyways… I think I’m going to get back in bed to watch Without a Trace and then who knows…

No… I’m not bored!

Less Driving more sleep

I ended up going over to the house, to work on some reading before dinner and they had set the alarm on me so I ended up walking in and setting off the alarm. The alarm company called and asked if everything was under control and I told them that it was except for the fact that I didn’t have an alarm code to type into the system to make it shut-up. I ended up just leaving the house and waiting for it to reset itself. Kathy called me back and gave me the code and I got inside just minutes before she got home. I got a couple pages read before we headed off to catch the tail end of the softball game (they all play in a league). After the game we headed over to Lamppost Pizza which was actually pretty good, but I don’t want to know the nutritional info on that pizza… It was covered in bacon bits! Almost like Aussy Cheese Fries, but not quite the same…

After dinner I started the drive home, stopped at Aimee’s to drop off the DVDs, took the scenic route home (Moulton all the way to PCH). I got to the Bob and waited for Batchelor to get done working before we finally headed up to Friday’s for drinks/dessert.

Yesterday I had to be at the high school at 11 to work on some pictures with Meagan and then videotape something for Mary. After that Travis and I went to lunch at Subway and then I edited the last dance song with Arielle, if you could call it editing… I basically just copied it from her CD and then changed the ending slightly. As soon as I got done with the dance music i started working for the choral show. It went fairly well, but those Panasonic batteries were pieces of crap! I pulled one battery brand new out of the package and the mic immediately said it was dead. We had others die throughout the night long before they normally would have died. After the rehearsal Batch and I once again headed to Friday’s, but this time Donna wasn’t there for us! We got stuck with Scott, but I must admit that the strawberry lemonades were awesome! I didn’t even have to go for something else! I didn’t get home until about 1 and it was straight to bed.

I got up this morning around 7 in order to hit the road to Bouse’s place to bring back a bed and some stuff that he wanted to get out of his apartment before he moves in a month or so. The drive up wasn’t too bad, but I was stuck in traffic as it was the tail end of rush hour and we still had a decent amount of traffic on the way back. We stopped at Oscar’s and had a nice little picnic outside on the grass. As soon as we got my truck unloaded I was out of there and went home to change for the GT. (I also took a really quick 5 minute nap which is about the only thing I’m running on right now.) As of now I’m sitting at the GT running PowerPoint for the auctioneer. I was pretty impressed with our new mics here in that even with the receivers in the sound room they were practically able to walk all the way around the lake without a problem. I moved one of the receivers over to the gift shop and put it right in the window though just in case.

I was supposed to go drinking with “everyone” tonight, but I don’t think that I’m going to get out of here until 11:30 or later now. If they are still out I will probably go and meet up with them, but I think they were supposed to be done at the Bob around 9:30 or 10. I’m looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning as I don’t have to be at GT for the wedding until 4 p.m. Maybe we can go out again after work tomorrow night. I’m really looking forward to Sunday because I don’t have to go to work anywhere that day! (I do have quite a bit of homework to be doing though!)

Sleep Sleep Sleep!

Why is it that when you actually get a good nights sleep you still aren’t awake??? I really need to get back into a system of going to bed at the same time and then getting up in the mornings and doing something instead of always being so lazy… Who wants to start running/riding with me in the mornings? I need to get up and do something! No more excuses!

I had to get up early this morning to head to the Bob for a senior assembly and to get to listen to Deavers talk about graduation… “some people get it… some people don’t…” While I was there I finally got Gipner’s parachute in the new box and back to her even though she will probably never even notice that it is back seeing as how I’m the only one that uses it. Nobody fell in the pit or anything fun today and they were actually out of there pretty shortly and I had enough time to go get the mail and then go home to get the rest of Aimee’s DVDs. Now I can take them all to her tonight instead of having to make two trips.

Classes are going OK as usual. I got a 23/25 (92%) on my quiz today in ISDS. We are actually going to start learning Access now which could be good seeing as how I’ve never really played with the program at all. Maybe I’ll actually have to pick up the book once or twice. We also have a test next week so I better start reading all those chapters that I’ve slept through over the past couple weeks. I’ve also got an exam in Bus Law next week, so I’ve got a lot of reading to do. These next couple weeks are going to be busy.

I also still have to figure out if I want to take summer classes. What I really need to do is figure out how many more under-division classes and gen ed classes I have to take. I think I only have two more lower-division classes to take so maybe I could crank those out over the summer and then I can start working on the upper division. Of course, taking summer classes would mean that I would be staying in Fullerton all week because most of the classes are M-Th which could make working interesting, but then again, I haven’t seen a schedule for the Bob yet and I always have the GT weddings on the weekends.

Oh… you will all (well maybe 2 of you) be happy to hear that I finally got a hold of Mackie tech support this morning and they finally gave me an RA number for the mixer. Now I can either ship it to them or I can take it down to Pro Sound & Music or another place that I haven’t heard of before. I can’t even remember the name of the place right now… San Diego Music or something… Anyone know? Anyone want to drive the board there for me?

I’m not sure what else is going on here… I think I’m going to hit up dinner here tonight with the family and then head down to give Aimee the DVDs and maybe some dessert. Otherwise maybe I’ll meet up with Batch for some strawberries along the way home seeing as how I didn’t even leave the house yesterday! Tomorrow I’m going for a bike ride in the morning – no excuses… so everyone that talks to me in the morning: make me go for a ride! Then I have to go to the school to deal with some pictures with Meagan and then videotape something for Mary. Then maybe a lunch break before editing some music with Arielle (and then the dance show will be done)! Then I get to run sound for Bell’s final rehearsal before the show opens. Bouse is saying something about moving stuff on Friday… not sure what is going on there and I’ve got to be at GT Friday afternoon/evening for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club function.

Long Overdue…

So let’s see what’s been going on lately since it has been so long since I’ve actually taken the time to write an update here… I guess it was last Sunday night…

Monday went fine. Can’t think of anything to report about it actually. I stayed in my accounting class for the entire time and she let us out early which was nice. I did better on the exam than I thought I had done, but I don’t remember at this point how well that was.

Tuesday I started working on my taxes, well actually going through old bills/mail in order to get started on my taxes. It was lots of fun trying to figure out what I did back in November, December and beyond. Bathcelor was able to help me out right off the top of his head on many things which was rather scary… Tuesday night Bouse came down and he, Lauren and I met up with pyro and Batchelor at the new Chili’s in Vista.

On Wednesday I started back up with going through paperwork and working on taxes. Bouse & Lauren came over in the morning to keep me company… I guess they couldn’t figure out anything to do on their own… We went out to lunch at Subway and then Bouse took off. Lauren and I came back to the house and while I worked on homework and taxes she watched Alias.

Thursday was just another fun filled day of taxes. More more and more taxes. I ended up owing the feds like $3500 and the state $1050. That was of course just wonderful! I think I’m going to have to cut back on spending here for a while to catch up and then of course I’m going to have to start making estimated tax payments for 2004 already! Also on Thursday Pat finally brought by his video that needed to be duplicated by Saturday night so I started working on that and stayed up late into the night trying to get it going.

I was up early on Friday morning to actually get his video duplicating and spent most of the morning dealing with it before going down to the Bob for the loadin for the dance competition. Other than the fact that they were basically over and hour late, everything went fairly well there and when we got done, Ryan, Mike and I met up with Pyro at Chili’s Vista for drinks and dinner and then headed over to the movie theatre to see Scooby Doo 2. (Sorry Batchelor!) :(

I was up really early on Saturday morning to be at the Bob by 6:30. This show was much easier than Rainbow was last year, but it was a good rehearsal for Lauren and Ryan who didn’t get the joys of seeing Rainbow Connection last year. It of course started raining, actually poring at some points during the day and as I was leaving I realized that I was probably going to have to go to GT to show Richie the ropes of a chapel wedding. I made the appropriate calls, got the mail, went home for a couple and then it was back off to GT for the wedding. After GT I went home to restock the duplicator and then it was off to Oscar’s with Batch, Pyro, Nate and Stefanie. After Batch couldn’t figure out what the heck he wanted to do that night so I ended up catching a ride back to my house with Nate & Stefanie.

Sunday was practically the same thing… up freaking early to be at the Bob. Things were pretty quite for the first part of the day, but they picked up before the day ended. Lauren and I got some naps in between checking on the house and backstage areas. When we got out of there I came home for a little bit, took about an hour long nap and then it was off to Outback with Mike & Batch. We couldn’t get a hold of Ryan because he was too tired to wake up!

Monday was fairly normal. I met up with Ryan for lunch at In n Out and tried to stay awake for the entire day which was really hard during some of the classes. Our ISDS teacher talked yesterday about her life and everything that she had been through. Pregnant, dropped out of school and married when she was something like 16, abused by her husband, etc, etc, etc. … In any event, the reason that she was telling us all of this was to show us that we could overcome anything. Whatever the history of a situation, the future is open.

I ended up going to Togos for dinner instead of the pizza place, and once again… I should have listened to Tammy. I don’t know how all of these food places can be so bad, but she was right… they aren’t that great. Accounting class went well. …

We got out of accounting class fairly early and then I headed to Friday’s to meet up with Batch & Floate once again. I can barely remember the last time that I was at Fridays… (OK it was a little over a week ago, Friday night.) After that it was home to get some sleep, but before I hit the bed I found the 89 new email messages, most of which were from ncairbands. I ended up reading through a bunch of stuff, warning a bunch of members and deleting a lot of posts. I would really like to know why it sometimes takes days for me to get the email messages telling me that there are new posts. Some of the things I was deleting were from days ago…

This morning I got up around 9 – I finally got to sleep in a little bit and then watched Everwood over breakfast and while trying to deal with the sync issues between my computers & phone. Aimee came down about 11 and we worked on her video for a couple hours and then decided to call it done. She left and I worked on getting the DVDs burning. Hopefully they will be done tomorrow morning so that I can take them with me to school tomorrow and then drop them off on the way home. I’m trying to get to bed early tonight so that I can get some sleep as I have to be up at 5 something in the morning to go work an assembly at the high school before driving to Fullerton.

… In any event, everything worked out and I never even left the house today! I think I’m gonna have a heart attack! I’m off to sleep now… Wish iSync luck for me… :)

Sad News

The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboywas buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth,Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies and Captain Crunch.

The gravesite was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times, he still, as a crusty old man , was considered a roll model for millions. Doughboy is survived by his wife, Play Dough; two children, John Dough and JaneDough; plus they had one in the oven. He is also survived by his elderly dad, Pop Tart.

The funeral was held at 3:50 for about 20 minutes.

San Jose

I just got my official acceptance letter from San Jose State today… Now once again… I just have to figure out what I’m going to do… I still assume that I will just continue to go to Fullerton, but who knows…

Mackie or Midas

Can anyone come up with any good reasons to justify the Midas Venice 160 over the Mackie CR6104VLZ-Pro? The Midas is almost 1k over the price of the Mackie, basically doubling the price.

Also to note is that GT already has one Mackie CR1604VLZ-Pro so having a second one would mean lower learning curves… As much as I want to sell the Midas so that I can keep my dealer pricing… someone help me sell some more EV/Telex/etc stuff!

Right now I’m looking at owing an additional 11 dollars short of four thousand!

Ha ha ha! Got you beat Batchelor!

Wait… I don’t think this is something that I wanted to beat him on… Damn!
