As I figured, I didn’t get any much, if any, sleep last night. …

1:30 came around way too quickly this morning. I don’t know if I even actually went to sleep at all during the very short night because I remember looking at the clock all through out the 2 hours I was supposed to be sleeping. I think i was just too anxious to sleep which is exactly what I figured last night. Maybe I shouldn’t have had that Krispy Kreme doughnut for dinner… Maybe I should have actually gone out with the guys last night for dinner… Oh yeah, that reminds me that I should write about yesterday.

Got up a little later than I had wanted to so I didn’t make it out for a bikeride, but did get a bunch of bills paid and got through some of the mail. One of the pieces of mail was a letter from Chevy saying that they wanted to buy back my truck as they needed a bunch of vehicles for some special something or other. I kind of figured this was just a marketing thing to get you to come buy a new vehicle, but I figured it wouldn’t hurt if I just stopped by to see what they had to say on my way to dinner with the guys, so I did that after church and the wedding. Well, as I figured, they didn’t want to pay me what I owed on the truck, so I told them no deal. They wanted to wheel and deal and we were actually working on it where they were going to make up the difference, but I just couldn’t find any trucks on their lot that I really wanted. There was one crew cab 4×4 2500 HD, but it was around $40k and I don’t need that kind of a truck, not to mention that they didn’t have it in any colors that would have been approved of. So it all worked out for the best two hours later when they finally understood me saying no… I don’t want/need a new truck. They got the head manger out there who started talking to me and I explained that there was nothing on his lot that I even was remotely interested in so that was the end of it. I never made it to dinner with the guys, but they all came over to find me at the dealership and then we tried to figure out what to do from there. Seeing as how I had a flight to catch really early the next morning, I told them I was going to call it a night and went home, so that I could get lots of sleep… yeah right! We all know how that one worked out!

I was actually up and going on time this morning and actually got out of the house about 3:30, which is good because I wasn’t planning on leaving until 4. I swung by my favorite bank (Wa Mu), got some cash and was on the road. It looked like there must have been a bad traffic accident on the 15 at Mission because they had a couple of the southbound lanes blocked off and there were tons of flashing lights out there. I tried to pull up cad.chp.ca.gov on my phone, but I figured that I didn’t want to try to cause another accident so I gave up. Everything else has been going good so far. Had to practically strip for security at the airport though… take my shoes off, then my belt… I had four things going through the scanner! Maybe I’ll be smarter on the way back and not wear my steel toes (although I knew this would be a problem and they were making everyone take their shoes off…) and maybe I’ll ditch the belt too, although I don’t know what security is like at SLC. I remember from the past that I could walk through security in Kansas City with just about anything on me and they didn’t seem to care, but this was also pre-9/11.

The flight was actually pretty empty. The entire row in front of me is empty, the two seats next to me are empty. There is even and empty seat in the exit row, but it is the middle seat so I’m fine just where I am. While there isn’t much room on these planes, it actually isn’t bad when you don’t have people around you because you can stash your stuff all over the place. Not to mention it has been kind of nice to get to sit and take care of emails, the marquee and getting caught up in the blog while doing an hour and a half flight versus a 10 hour drive! Now if we could only bring the price down a bit… Actually, I think the expensive part of this flight is the return trip as I think that flight is almost solidly booked. Speaking of booking flights, I guess I need to book that flight to come back to Fallbrook on August 7 & 8 to “meet the family.” (And I’m referring to my family… dad’s side… who I have all met before, but haven’t seen some of for years.) We left the gate early and it looks like we are going to land slightly early in SLC, but only time will tell.

Not sure what all is in the plans for today, but I’m anxious to see. I guess it is just Amanda, Kim and me for most of the day, but there are talks about going water skiing which could be fun. … We’ll have to see what comes of all this…

Ewan:
Love is a many splendored thing
Love lifts us up where we belong
All you need is love

Nicole:
Please don’t start that again
Ewan:
All you need is love
Nicole:
A girl has got to eat
Ewan:
All you need is love
Nicole:
She’ll end up on the street
Nicole:
Uhh
Ewan:
All you need is love
Nicole:
Love is just a game
Ewan:
I was made for loving you baby
You were made for loving me
Nicole:
The only way of loving me baby
Is to pay a lovely fee
Ewan:
Just one night
Give me just one night
Nicole:
There’s no way
Cause you can’t pay
Ewan:
In the name of love
One night in the name of love
Nicole:
You crazy fool
I won’t give in to you
Ewan:
Don’t leave me this way
I can’t survive without your sweet love
Oh baby don’t leave me this way
Nicole:
You think that people would have enough of silly love songs
Ewan:
I look around me and I see it isn’t so, oh no
Nicole:
Some people wanna fill the world with silly love songs
Ewan:
Well what’s wrong with that
I like to know
Cause here I go again
Ewan:
Love lifts us up where we belong
Where the eagles fly
On a mountain high
Nicole:
Love makes us act like we are fools
Throw our lives away
For one happy day
Ewan:
We can be heroes
Just for one day
Nicole:
You, you will be mean
Ewan:
No I won’t
Nicole:
And I, I’ll drink all the time
Ewan:
We should be lovers
Nicole:
We can’t do that
Ewan:
We should be lovers
And that’s a fact
Nicole:
No nothing would keep us together
Ewan:
We could steal time
Ewan & Nicole:
Just for one day
We can be heroes
Forever and ever
We can be heroes
Forever and ever
We can be heroes
Ewan:
Just because I, and I will always love you
Nicole:
I only can’t help
Ewan & Nicole:
Loving You
Nicole:
How wonderful life is now
Ewan and Nicole:
You’re in the world

Today I’ve got church at 1:30, then GT at 3… I’m not looking forward to event #4 of the weekend, but I am looking forward to seeing Audrey for the first time in almost a year! After that I was planning on coming home and going to bed, but it looks like Rande is still in town, so we may have to do dinner before I can go to sleep as he and I both leave tomorrow. I was going to go for a ride this morning, but looking at the amount of stuff I have to do before I leave tomorrow, I should probably start working on paying the bills and all that fun stuff…

I remembered today why it is that I don’t like working all of the weddings at the Grand Tradition… They get really old… Although it was nice to catch up with some people that I haven’t seen for a while… Kristin, Jer, Matt et cetera. Audrey is supposed to be working tomorrow so that ought to be nice to catch up with her. I told a bunch of people today about me going to Idaho and as usual, it was just interesting to see their responses. Nobody believes me that I’m going out there for just a break from things and to take some classes, but oh well, that is the bulk of the truth.

Between weddings I came home, ate lunch and kicked around for a while before John came over to setup the weather station. He got the computer setup in the house and they started working outside, but then I had to go back to GT.

After the second wedding I went out to Outback with Floate & Larilyn. I had been craving Outback since everyone started talking about potatoes when I would mention Idaho and things just worked out. Batch was supposed to come but he went home instead of waiting for me to get off work. We were going to do something tomorrow night, but I think I’m going to have to come home and go straight to bed after work as I have to be up at 2 in the morning!

… I need to go to bed now, but who knows if I will actually sleep…

Well, Finals are over and school is out for this semester. I think I did good on my business law exam yesterday, but with that class I never really know. I did get done in 15 minutes, which made it work out well for me to get to GT as quickly as possible. Scott … ended up setting up the system for me which was nice of him and good because I don’t think there was any way that I could have gotten it done and been ready in time. It all worked out though, so I don’t know what else to say.

I actually had a really good time at GT yesterday as I started talking with Justin about his summer plans. I was expecting the normal, oh just working, but that’s not what he’ll be doing this summer. He is getting married over the summer along with his best friend Mark … I had heard that Mark was going to BYU-Idaho, but I wasn’t aware that Justin was a mormon. We started talking about it and spent most of the rest of the evening talking about things which was good. So now I’ve found another person who is actually in support of this which is really good… He said he wants to be there when and if I choose to go for a dunk… I honestly think at this point that the if is gone and it is more of a when now. I think I’m ready, but at the same point I don’t see that I have to rush into this. Part of me wants to wait and see how things go in Idaho, but another part of me wants to go for the dip now and arrive in Idaho a Mormon. I’m sure that God will find the right time for me and make it evident.

… I could keep writing forever, but I have to go get in the shower so I can go to work!

Well the meeting with the missionaries went well. It wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I guess I was expecting more pressure, but we just ran through some more history which was good. It is great to just sit around and talk. After they left Larilyn and I sat there and talked for about 2 hours about all sorts of things.

I left Larilyn’s to go to the school and get the end of the year video that Fritz had been working on, but I came to find out that they cancelled the pep rally! Actually, that was probably a good thing because I’m sure it would have been really bad and it meant that I didn’t have to work on my video. This should have meant that I had more time to study for my final, but well… yeah… we all know how that goes. I did try reading for a while eventually, but I just didn’t get very far with that.

I changed my return flight from SLC next week to 11 am Wednesday instead of Tuesday night as we found out that Amanda is going to have to work on Tuesday and I wanted to be able to spend at least some part of Tuesday with her. This will give me some time to deal with the housing people and also hopefully meet with the admissions counselor while she is at work. …

… I’ll be there in 3 days!!!! (And yes, I am counting down the minutes…)

Not much else to report… Just wasting time before I get in the shower cause I don’t really feel like facing the day, but yet I know I must. THIS IS MY LAST DAY OF FULLERTON! (At least for this semester, but who knows if I will be going back…) It will be interesting to see how things work out today as I have the final at 2:30 and am supposed to be at GT by 4 for a memorial service at 5. The earliest that I could be there would be 4:15, but I don’t know if traffic will let me get there that quickly. I guess I should call and remind them that I will be late today and just make sure someone is on to be rolling out equipment should I be running really late. Floate is supposed to stop by this weekend to look at covering for me while I am gone, and if he doesn’t seem interested maybe I can talk Ryan into doing it. Speaking of Ryan, we still have to get the dance performance DVDs duplicating! Alison will also be home tonight and I think we’re planning on heading to Oscar’s after my memorial service. If too many more people show back up this summer it’s just going to be like the old days… I better hurry up and get out of here! 18 days and less than 20 hours until I leave for the summer….

Living on Earth is expensive,
but it does include a free trip
around the sun every year.

How long a minute is
depends on what side of the
bathroom door you’re on.

Birthdays are good for you;
the more you have,
the longer you live.

Happiness comes through doors you
didn’t even know you left open.

Ever notice that the people who are late
are often much jollier
than the people who have to wait for them?

Most of us go to our grave
with our music still inside of us.

If Wal-Mart is lowering prices every day,
how come nothing is free yet?

You may be only one person in the world,
but you may also be the world to one person.

Some mistakes are too much fun
to only make once.

Don’t cry because it’s over;
smile because it happened.

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
and all are different colors….but
they all exist very nicely in the same box.

A truly happy person is one who
can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Have an awesome day, and
know that someone
who thinks you’re great
has thought about you today!..

“And that person was me.”…..
Please don’t keep this message
to yourself…..send it to those
who mean so much to you…. “NOW”..

Working for God on earth does not pay much,
but His Retirement plan is out of this world.

I’m off to meet with the missionaries again right now and there are so many different things running through my mind right now. It probably didn’t help that I was just reading Larilyn’s journal …

I’ve spent more time talking to God in the last week than I probably have in the entire rest of my life. …

Well time to go… This could be an interesting day…

I took two more finals yesterday. I think that both of them went well, but we will just have to wait and see. Actually (I love the Internet) It appears that I got a 19.5 out of 25 on the final in my econ class. My total right now is at 77, which looks to me like the highest score in the class. He still has to grade our papers which will add up to 15 points, but I think it is safe to say that I will get an A in the class if I have the highest overall total right now. It looks like the high score was 20.5 on the last exam too, so I guess compared to everyone else I didn’t do that bad. My ISDS final went ok, but it was obvious that I had no clue what I was doing, but I still pulled it off and was done before everyone else.

Amanda talked me into going out to Idaho next week, not that it involved a lot of talking. I think all she said was “If you want to come out, come out.” I fly out of ONT at 6:20 on Monday morning and will be back late Tuesday night. I can’t honestly believe that I’m flying out there for 24 hours, especially after she was just out here last weekend! It will be good to see what I’m getting myself into and while I am there I can finalize the housing and get a better idea of what I should bring with me. I wish that I could have gone out a day earlier or stayed a day later, but Richie will be in Montana this weekend so I’m stuck at GT and I have to be back for ASB awards on Wednesday morning.

Not much else happened yesterday. I did quite a bit of reading and will be spending most of today reading and working on the end of the year video for tomorrow morning. Anyone know of some good music for me to use? (And no, I don’t need “I hope you don’t mind, I hope you don’t mind…”)

Monday went good. My final went good too I guess, but I really don’t remember as I was playing back someone singing “I hope you don’t mind… I hope you don’t mind…” the whole time. I would get about half way through a problem and then just break into song and not remember anything about the problem…. I guess we’ll see how I did later, but I think that I did OK on it, we’ll just have to see how the curving goes.

I got to sleep in a little bit because I didn’t have to be at class until later, 2:30 instead of 1, which is the same thing all week which will be nice. Ryan and I met up for lunch at In & Out and sat there and talked for a while. We got into talking about the Mormon stuff and I pulled out my Book of Mormon to look something up. Within a couple minutes we had two missionaries at the table talking with us. Parking was great on Monday as I just pulled in and there was a spot, both at In & Out and at CSU Fullerton! I wish it was like that all the time, but I only have to deal with that two more times because after that I will be in Idaho! Idaho is the only thing on my mind lately. I can’t think about anything else. If it doesn’t have to do with me getting to Idaho, I don’t even seem to want to talk about it.

I called two housing places in the morning. The first one said they were all sold out, but were trying to find some openings. I left a message at the other one and they called me back later and told me that they might have an opening if a tentative person backed out. One of the places called me back today to tell me that they now had an opening, but I found two other places that said they could accommodate me. It looks like I will be staying at Pineview starting June 16th! Now, are you all sitting down? This is only going to cost $390 for June 16th through August 20!

Last night I went out to Friday’s with Rande, Batch, Nate, Stefanie, Doug & Mike which was fun, but I left early so that I could make my phone call and go to bed early last night. …

… but I was kind of running late because Batch made me run to the Bob to cover him for a bit until he got there as he was stuck at Power Plus for about an hour. It’s ok, it got me out of the house and made me a little bit of money, so it’s all good. Didn’t do too much else today besides try to start duping the dance DVDs, but there are still some issues with the menus so that project is on hold until Ryan fixes them.

I think I need to put a countdown on my website for how long until I leave… It looks like I will be leaving on the 16th now so we will just have to see… I still haven’t decided about going out there next week. …

So where is the best place for me to find midi ringtones? I’ve tried finding a couple songs in the past and haven’t been able to find them.

Also, how can I make my phone play an mp3 as a ringtone? I don’t need to be able to play them on demand, just as the ringtone for a specific caller.
