Alias is now officially over. I watched the last episode tonight and it’s gone for good. Overall it was a great season and I think the cast and crew really need to be commended for what they brought and how they changed television as it is today. I can’t say much more without ruining it for anyone that hasn’t seen it, although I can’t imagine there is anyone left.

I was very depressed when it ended, especially since I thought there was going to be more than two episodes on the final disc, so I was very confused when they started wrapping things up and then when I saw the screen “Thanks for Five Incredible Years,” I knew it was over once and for all. To combat my depression, I made sure that I watched all the extra stuff on the disc.

Then, I decided it was time to gear up for 24. I have already seen the first 8 episodes, and I still had 5-8 on my computer, so I decided to watch episode number eight to help refresh my memory – after all, the last time I saw 24 was in January! Hopefully Netflix will get their act together and get me Disc 3 on Tuesday so that I can continue and get caught up.

The semester is also officially over now. I had my last final yesterday in cost accounting. I think it went well, and I’m not too worried about it as I have had high grades on the other exams. I’m still worried – or I guess more anxious – about the 301b class. I’ve emailed the teacher, but I haven’t received a response yet.

I have to say that I am looking forward to some time away from school so that I can get some things done that I haven’t had the time for, but it is going to be weird to not have so much hanging over my head all the time. I can only imagine how crazy I will go once I’m out for good! I’ll have to find a new hobby or something.

Three finals down, two to go. It was kind of nice going in to school later today, I was able to get a decent amount of stuff done – actually – homework and I made it to the office to ship out an order, process another one and deposit some money. But now here comes the best part of going into school late – I got to go somewhere for lunch after 10:30 and that wasn’t in the immediate vicinity of CSUF. I’m sure you’ve got it by now, but if not, here is your final hint: I haven’t been to this one all semester! Well, if you guessed Fuddruckers, you got it right.

In any event, my marketing final went well I hope. It didn’t seem too hard, but some of the questions were a little on the weird side that it was hard to come up with even the idea of what the question was trying to ask. I got out of that exam way early and had over two hours to kill before my accounting final. Fortunately, I was able to put the time to use by studying for the test. I had never seen the library so full before in my life, but I finally found a spot and worked through some problems from the book and tried to figure out what I knew and didn’t know. The test went well and I went over it many times trying to make sure I didn’t miss anything – at least not for stupid careless errors. I’m hoping that I did well and that I won’t have to be taking this class over again. Actually, I hope that Kortney and Ashley and the whole rest of the class did well as well and that no one will have to suffer through that class again!

Being a slacker can actually pay off sometimes. Chad and I have been talking about getting insulation to put on the ceiling tiles in the office to try and keep some of the heat (and eventually air conditioning) in the office areas instead of letting it just go right through and inefficiently warm up the shop. When we came in this morning we found some guys installing insulation across the way and talked about going over to ask them what it would cost for them to come and install some for us right then and there. As we watched some more, they moved from unit to unit and which point we began thinking it was odd that they were doing this for multiple tenants. As they continued to progress we began to think that maybe the landlord decided to get us some insulation for Christmas! Within an hour they were in our unit installing insulation! Hopefully this will help us keep down the heating/air conditioning costs and maybe absorb some sound as well. Of course, they made a mess installing the stuff, so the office needs some serious cleaning now. Good thing we didn’t go ahead and order some insulation up earlier!

I got some homework done tonight, but not nearly the amount that I was hoping for. I will admit that I took a little Alias break when i got to the point when I couldn’t possibly take anymore. Alias has been pretty good so far this season, although I’m starting to think some weird things are possibly about to happen, especially with Nadia just randomly waking up from her coma with no signs of her disease.

NAMM is around the corner, and the registration deadline is tomorrow (for the included passes anyway). I can’t think of much else to report tonight. Please wish me luck on getting a lot of homework done tomorrow – along with all the CBC stuff I need to do to finish up the week. And we’re going to get the tree – so Christmas must be officially upon us now!

So much for writing again… Yeah, yeah, I know. I really don’t have the time to do this tonight, but I think it will be worthwhile in the end, so here goes:

Today was the last day of classes for this semester. I have three finals next week and then a full month off! After that there will hopefully just be one semester left (5 classes) and then I’ll be done for good! This is of course assuming that I manage to pass my Acct 301B class. I also got my Grad Check back from the business advising center today and I turned it back into Admissions & Records. Supposedly, I am now an official candidate for graduation in just six months!

This semester has gone by really quick. It helps being so busy with other stuff, but I guess what everyone says is true – that every semester goes by faster than the last one. Kortney and I were talking just last week about how it seemed like the semester just started.

I went out to Tucson at the beginning of Thanksgiving break to see my mom and set her up with a phone. She seemed to do be pretty good, but certainly isn’t 100% yet. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers.

CBC has moved to the new shoffice (Kelly – Chad’s wife – suggested the name as we sometimes call it an office and sometimes call it the shop). Almost all of the stuff is gone from the house and it has been nice to get out, even though it has been kind of weird and I’ve had a lot of long days in the office already.

Well there are tons of other things to say, but I need to get to sleep now!
