I Nodded Yes, Said How ‘Bout You

I spent the bulk of today doing the physical work for the software programming I did yesterday. For the most part it went well, but there were some things that people didn’t seem to plan into the install, so I’ll be going back tomorrow to finish it up. I hope that it doesn’t take all day, cause I haven’t done any office work since Monday and I’m really starting to get worried about how far behind I am. I even thought about getting some done tonight, but I was just too darn tired.

We had a great lesson at institute tonight. I had read Section 19 a few times before going so I was a bit more into it than I normally am with just barely reading it before class. Of course I can’t remember the pattern, so Sister Dowden you’ll have to help me out there. Listen > See > Know. We talked a lot about having the spirit withdrawn from you, the three deaths and so forth.

I was so tired after work that I barely made it upstairs to check on things before deciding to just vedge on the couch before institute. I enjoyed some Without a Trace, and then watched CSI after Institute. CSI seems to have gone so downhill lately though, I’m not sure if I will be making it a priority to watch it. I should also probably mention that I haven’t seen the last two episodes of 24, so I guess I’m not that interested in TV in general lately.

I did get a good night’s sleep last night, or at least better than I have been lately. I don’t know if it is the sleep deprivation or that my mind wasn’t racing as much. Again, I’m not pleased with where things went yesterday, but I am at peace with myself that they were done. Half of the battle is done and now I just need to handle the second attack. Too bad that one hasn’t been panning out so well for me. Maybe there will be no second battle and this whole thing will come to pass.

Real Work

I turned the TV on for the first time this week and watched CSI tonight. It has actually been kind of nice to not have it on, not that I even watch it that much to begin with. I can’t believe that Grissom is leaving. CSI will never be the same.

I didn’t get to any real work till late this afternoon. I had the chamber breakfast this morning and then Bucky Claus came by to show off some new toys and we went to lunch.

After a day and a half with the iPhone, I can clearly say that I’m getting adjusted to the phone, but the service is horrible. It is even worse than I remember it. Sprint is giving me the runaround, so I haven’t ported my number yet. What a pain!

I’m up way late and need to get to bed, so I think I’m going to leave it at that.

Good Morning, Good Start

I can’t really think of anything to report today. It was just your typical fairly boring day. I was in the office early this morning and got a fair amount done. I found some new Christmas music to use as our music on hold and took care of some other odds and ends. I came home tonight and have been lazy – surfing facebook and watching TV. I watched Cold Case and Fringe.

That’s about the extent of it. Oh, it was nice to get up a bit closer to regular time (i.e. earlier than I have the past few weeks) and I actually had some time to sit and read in the living room. I really enjoyed that and was able to get to work early on top of it. Getting the morning off to a good start can have such a big impact on the rest of the day.

I’m looking forward to going to the temple tomorrow morning even if I was just there Friday. I wonder if my stalker sister will be there again or what they may have me doing since this is a new month. I kind of liked my schedule last month, and I still need to get a watch. (Not that those two items really go together in a sentence, I must be getting tired.)

Stalking Sister

I’ll make this short, or at least try, for better or for worse tonight cause I’m so tired. I had a good time serving in the temple today. I was trained on the recommend desk so I’m quickly getting more versatile. We had a packed session at 10 when I officiated with a few own endowments which was great to officiate for.

It was a little awkward when I felt like I was stalking one of the sisters from my session. I wanted to spend some time sitting in the celestial room after the session so after we wrapped things up I went in there and happened to try and go for the exact same spot. Then she left after a while and I stayed to ponder, then took my time getting back downstairs. As I was walking out she was right behind me. I almost wanted to say something, but I didn’t want to ruin the spirit. She didn’t show up at Krispy Kreme or Cheesecake Factory, so it wasn’t like this went on all day, it just seemed awkward to me for some reason.

I came home and did some work from home and then started trying to actually process the bills and receipts that have been piling up on my kitchen table. i didn’t make it very far, but I have made some improvements. Larilyn came over to make a cheesecake, but then we ended up going over to the Dowden’s for dinner and then ended up watching the 24 Redemption between season episode.

The One and Only

It was good to be back at church this week. I really missed being home last week. Many people told me I was at least a few shades darker. I guess that isn’t hard when you can serve as a white card. I don’t see it, but I’m sure I am. I did spend a lot of time out in the sun and didn’t wear much sunscreen.

We debunked myths regarding the atonement today. I really liked the style of the talk. It was so nice to have a homemade dinner at the Dowden’s tonight. I seriously need to come up with a plan for this week so I don’t have to go out to eat. Problem is there is nothing in my house to eat. I need some new food ideas for things that don’t cost me more than a meal at a nice restaurant. Maybe I just need someone to eat dinner with! I haven’t been over to the Rodriguez’s for a while, maybe its time I drop in there.

No one showed up for the CES Fireside tonight, which was fine with me. I just always want to make sure that people have the option. I’m sure most people who wanted to watch it watched it the night it aired or sometime in the past few weeks. But I guess you never know who could have been out there. I still have it if someone wants to come watch it. This is the only reason I have TV and a DVR in my house, so that I can watch these things on the BYU channel. I’m sure my roommates would love it if I canceled every channel but KBYU!

I spent some time talking with Sister Draper, one of Tara’s companions who has been released. That was kind of fun and got me thinking more about the one and only Tara of course. I guess she has really been on my mind a lot lately. Maybe some part of me knows that she is going through some harder times on her mission and wants to be there for her. Maybe it was just the Bosch trip which I’ve been dreading for a year since I knew she couldn’t come. Or I guess it could have been all the people that asked me about my wife on the trip!

Well, I think I’m going to toss in early tonight. I’m thinking about trying to get into the office early tomorrow to install some software updates before everyone else gets in, or at least to get some work done. I’m also thinking it will help me get ready for getting up early on Tuesday to be at the temple which I have missed dearly.

Returned from MN, Damaged Goods, Blockus

I’ve just been so exhausted lately I haven’t had a chance to write. Thursday went well with class and so forth. I tried the Twin Cities Grill Thursday night. It was really good and well worth the wait. I’ll definitely going back there. It wasn’t cheap, but it was good. I had a delicious steak for a little less than one would pay at Ruth’s Chris. I managed to miss the first few minutes of CSI back at the hotel and then kept getting interrupted during it. I also watched whatever weird show was on after CSI and then just about fell asleep on the couch.

Friday morning went well as we tried to wrap things up with the class. I passed the written exam and now just need to complete my project. I made it to my flight ontime and it was another full one. I was kind of hoping it would be oversold and they would be looking for people to bump, but of course it never happens when I could actually take a later flight. I sat next to a woman who was coming in on vacation for a week with her daughter and we talked for a while. I eventually decided to try and get some work done, but it was just too hard with the laptop. I then started watching Amazing Grace, but only got about 30 minutes into it before I was asked to cease and desist for landing.

LA Traffic actually wasn’t that bad coming back home as it only took me about two hours once I got to my car. It did take me an hour to get from the gate to my car which is a joke. Nonetheless, I’m sure in this case it was better to take the direct flight than having a layover somewhere else along the line.

It turned out that something was wrong with the recording of the Price is Right, so we didn’t get to see Krystal. One of her other friends apparently has it recorded and is going to transfer it to DVD for her though. I was really looking forward to getting home to see it, and was quite bummed that we couldn’t watch it.

I woke up super early Saturday morning and couldn’t sleep. After playing on the computer for an hour or so I decided to go back to sleep. When I got up the second time I enjoyed a bowl of Crispix and then watched a few things off the DVR before I got started with cleaning the house. I was thinking about going to the temple to makeup for Tuesday, but realized I just had too much to do. I did make it down for the baptisms though. We were way short on people, so I’m glad I went and am very thankful for the help we had from others last night as well.

After the temple, the group that wanted to come straight home decided they wanted to stop at In-N-Out to grab something quickly. I mentioned that if we were going to do that, we should go to Fuddruckers and I got everyone on board. That probably happened because when we got there two people ordered something other than a hamburger which they clearly couldn’t have gotten at In-N-Out! It was apparently homecoming for Mira Mesa or some other area schools and they thought we were there for Homecoming since we were somewhat dressed up. Brother Clark asked me if I was class of ’08 and I just laughed and said yep! I just want to know what the two of us guys were doing wit the three girls.

My counselors finally got called and set apart today. It will be huge having their help and I’m hoping we can figure out who our secretary is supposed to be and then we can really get this home teaching thing whipped into shape. It sounds like we aren’t going to be swapping the hours, so we will be stuck without the guys from mission prep. It sure would be nice to have them, but I guess we will just deal with another challenge.

President and Sister Clegg spoke today. Other than President going way over, it was good. He spoke about sexual morality, coming clean using the atonement and damaged goods. He relayed a story that hit me about a missionary who was planning on marrying his girlfriend after he returned. Shortly after he left she got into some trouble. After she left the other guy and went through the repentance process with her bishop she was pronounced clean again. This elder though didn’t see it so clearly. He had saved himself for her and he thought she was damaged goods. President Kimball (?) told him that he just didn’t get it. She has been made clean through the atonement, her sins have been forgiven. Yet, this elder struggled with that as I expect many do.

I went over to the Dowden’s tonight to post Mandi’s video of us trying to swallow cinnamon. Maegan also challenged me to a game of Blockus. I had never played before and didn’t do so well. I tried to get Cynthia to help me, but Maegan kept coming up with reasons she couldn’t. Eventually, Maegan gave up and everyone worked to finish off my pieces as best we could.

New Gas Pumps at Costco

New Gas Pumps at Costco

Breakfast went well at Bear Creek this morning. I’d continue to attend. Things were crazy in the office getting ready for shows, breaking things like a DC-One trying to do a software update, etc. Then I left early to meet Verizon again today. Of course, today when we have a 3 o’clock appointment, they don’t show or call till after 5. We got the box swapped out and still didn’t have audio on the hdmi. I changed ports on the receiver and there it was. Is it possible that the software update did something to kill my hdmi port? I guess I’ll have to call Sony sometime and see what the heck is going on there. I do remember testing another port though, so that’s where I’m kind of confused as to why it isn’t working now.

I was pretty lazy tonight/this afternoon. I just plopped down on the couch and watched TV most of the time I was home, other than the hour or so I worked upstairs.

Institute was good tonight as always. I didn’t bring my laptop in and Brock told me I had high priest scriptures when I brought in my large print.

I stopped at Costco this morning to get gas as I was almost to the point of having to run on batteries. They totally changed out the pumps and they aren’t just new, but have been redesigned to look new/sleek. It was very confusing, although it seemed much faster than the previous pumps they had.

Broken Set Top Box

After spending close to an hour on the phone with Verizon this week, I supposedly had an appointment for 1 p.m. today for them to bring me out a new set top box. I was told they were going to call before coming, and I believe I gave them my office number. Home and office are very similar so maybe I got confused. Nonetheless, they called at 11 this morning and showed up at 11:35. Well hello, of course I wasn’t home!

I called the tech directly and he never called me back. I called Verizon again and they have again scheduled someone to come out tomorrow afternoon. I explained that I couldn’t keep taking time off work to sit and wait for nothing to happen. They apparently put notes on the ticket for them to bring the box to me at work or make other arrangements. We’ll see how it goes.

Brother Kowallis and Boaz came over to give a little missionary discussion. They’ve encouraged me to find those who may be ready to learn the truth. Anyone interested out there?

It’s not exactly cool, but I got this crazy idea to open the windows after the sun went down. The house has cooled off a bit – from 81 to 79 upstairs and 77 downstairs. Hopefully I will still be able to get to sleep and not end up closing all the windows in an hour when I’m still laying here awake cause it is too hot. I think I need to get back into investigating the whole house fan situation again so I could suck that cooler air in and cool the house off faster. We still seem to be tracking about 10 degrees above outside, I’m hoping the house fan could bring that down to within 5 degrees or maybe even closer. Maybe when I have some money I can get one and find out for myself.

I’ve been home since 2 something this afternoon. It’s been kind of nice. I was expecting Lauren to come over so we could cause some trouble, but she didn’t show. I’m having problems with my set top box power cycling randomly, so watching TV is kind of hard and none of the movies I had were short enough to let me plan on getting in bed at 10 o’clock. So I had a relaxing evening listening to music and catching up on blog reading.

Now it’s time for sleep so I can hopefully get up on time tomorrow for once since I’m planning to be at a breakfast at 7:30.

To San Francisco?

Today was a bit quieter than the past has been. Granted, that was probably only because our email was down for part of the day and we have yet to receive some of those messages.

We had a BBQ tonight at the Clegg’s. It was fun, but I spent all my time taking pictures and debating if I should go to San Francisco this weekend.

Since Connie & Michael are having their anniversary party this weekend, I thought that maybe it would be a good time to come up and see Brooke. Of course, we have a few things going on here as well that could use being dealt with, I was thinking a good weekend away could be good for me as well.

Sounds like I’m probably not going this weekend, but will soon. And I think I’ll have to go back in the spring to see Wicked!

I just learned that Krystal’s airing on the price is right is the week that I’m in Minneapolis! What are the chances of something like that happening? The other thing is that since she wasn’t going to be here, it probably wasn’t going to be a big deal, but now that she is staying, it probably will be a big deal and I’m going to be 2,000 miles away. I guess I’ll have the opportunity to watch it earlier though since I’ll be two hours ahead.

I was informed that Maegan is coming over for her birthday celebration after institute tomorrow night. I guess I have to bake a cake.

Did you like my random thoughts? I think my brain must have shut down or something. Maybe I got up too early this morning or maybe I’ve just gone into shock from actually making a real breakfast (french toast) this morning when it was still dark outside.

Quiet Day of Chores

Quiet Day of Chores

Maybe before people decide to advertise on electronic screens they should inquire as to what is powering them. I mean, why pay to advertise how horrible windows is? We already know it crashes constantly – is it really necessary to advertise that at the gas station? Insist that your advertising displays run on a Mac. Maybe people will see what you are paying for.

I spent some time this morning catching up on blog reading and still trying to figure out twitter. I think I’m starting to get the idea behind it, although I still can’t understand what it does for me more than the status in facebook does. I guess it is just another one of those independent services we all have to deal with. I wish everyone could just have their own domain with whatever works best for them running on it sending out RSS feeds. That would I think essentially solve the need for all these different sites we have now. I realize it will never happen, but I think that is one of the reasons why I am so slow to adopt some of these new technologies/sites that others jump on right away.

I spent a good chunk of the day cleaning the house. I also spent time working on this console situation for the show this weekend among other things. I watched some TV, made some phone calls for home teaching and made orange chicken for dinner. It was essentially a pretty quiet day at home. I thought Lauren was going to come up, but she never did. Alison and I were going to try and meet for lunch, but that didn’t happen. I thought about going to dinner with Bouse, but he wanted to go to Outback and I’ve officially given up on that place. It’s hard to believe it, but I’ve actually stuck by it when I said I wasn’t going back. I can’t stand that they can’t figure out how to cook the meat right.

In fact, I would have spent the entire day at home if Maegan and Larilyn didn’t drag me out of the house to have dessert with them at Johnny Carino’s. I decided to try something new – the cannoli i think it was. It was actually pretty good, although Maegan will attest that the cake something or other she got was amazing and much better than anything I could possibly have chosen to get. This is why we had to have two desserts – so she could have the cake and I could try something new. They invited me to the movies as well. I just came home to finish off my boring day at home, home alone. I ended up watching an episode of CSI, which surprisingly, I hadn’t seen before!

And now, I can get to sleep at a reasonable time instead of still being locked in a movie theater for another 40 minutes and not getting home until tomorrow. I’m very anxious to find out what is going on tomorrow with President Mattson being released. From the calls I made today regarding home teaching, I can see that we have a lot of work cut out for us with people leaving. There were also a few who didn’t know they had assignments, which I think means that I must have never gotten the new assignments to them. I guess that is where calling comes in!

On the Air and Online

Yesterday went well with the ham radio and FIOS installs. I was home all day and actually never even left. I thought about going out and grabbing some things on my list, but decided that I didn’t need to make a special trip since I was going to be out and about essentially every other day. I also had the electrician take care of a few other loose ends, like the switches in the back bedroom and putting a duplex in the garage instead of the singled edison that was there. It is great to have internet and be moving forward. I also got my TV mounted on the wall, and rehung the evid that was a little bit off from the other night. I should have my in wall evids coming next week, so I can clean that up and then I think the family room will be ready for paint.

I saw this beautiful dining room on HGTV this morning. It was a really light blue with dark wood. They paneled the bottom half of the wall with wood matching the table and made place and seat mats that matched the blue in the walls. I was thinking that might work for my dining room to spice it up a bit down the road. I think I’m going to start with painting the rooms that need it due to the patching of holes in the walls and such and then work on the other ones down the road.

Alison and Nathaniel came over for dinner last night. We just made pasta and bread, nothing special, but it was good. We just hung out for a while after and watched some Get Smart. Alison had never seen the show, but has seen the movie, go figure.

I had Verizon coming back out this morning to fix the set top box for the TV which kept turning off randomly. However, shortly after I called in yesterday, I couldn’t reproduce the problem on the box so I’m figuring it was just downloading software updates or something. Hopefully all is well now. I turned off the wireless in the router Verizon gave me and got a Netgear unit in here that is doing a much better job! Those actiontek pieces of junk just don’t seem to work at all with the macbooks. I couldn’t stream music at all and I actually got to the point last night where I used my aircard to surf the net instead of the fios!

The roadshow went well today. I learned about and saw some new products that I knew had been in the works and some that I didn’t know of. I was interested to find that they released 90 degree versions of all the line array boxes (or most of them anyway). I guess it had been something that was specifically requested enough times they decided to make it a standard order part. I could see the use for it with the tighter beams on the top and widening as you go down to help compensate for the throw distance. I’m interested to see what it does to the specs on the rest of the box and then when the array is working as a whole since I presume that changes a lot.

I rushed out of the roadshow to drive over 100 miles from San Dimas to San Diego (Fashion Valley). Susan wanted to go to Cheesecake Factory for her birthday dinner. I didn’t think I was going to make it, but we got out early enough so it worked out. It was a bit of a long drive (especially considering I’m getting used to my 11 minute commute to work and 5 minute drive to church – when I leave the house, that is). After dinner we went shopping at Crate & Barrel and then Williams Sonoma. I got a lot of stuff at Crate & Barrel and will probably need to go back there with Sib or someone next week after I get a new list of things I need in order to cook and serve. I’m sure I’ll need a bunch of stuff for the housewarming party which I haven’t even started to think about yet.

Maegan and Larilyn came over tonight after institute. Larilyn brought the stuff to make the Boston Cream Cheesecake sometime in the future. While she was here, she helped eat the brownies and then we got into pictures from her trip. I got to use the SD card reader in my blu-ray DVD player which was kind of cool, other than we couldn’t figure out how to zoom or rotate any of the pictures. Maegan then wanted to continue with the pictures so I showed her what I had on my laptop which wasn’t nearly as interesting as Larilyn’s pictures.

I’m bummed I missed institute for the third week in a row and also curious what I missed at the stake priesthood leadership meeting tonight. I think I was in the right place though, so I’m just going to go with it and go to bed!

Ceiling Fans

I got my ceiling fans installed today! I am already loving them and working on getting used to the way they work. Some have remotes, some have switches, some are always on and you just use the pull strings. I’m sure I’ll have it down in a day or two. I’ve already been able to cut my air conditioning bill as it has barely been running since they got installed. I’m going to try sleeping tonight without the A/C for the first time and with just the fan and the windows open. I figure at worst if I can’t sleep, I’ll get up, close the windows and turn on the a/c.

Speaking of windows, I’ve been a bit leery of leaving the windows open downstairs at night. I’ve always slept downstairs with the windows open for the most part, it just seems strange to do it when no one is downstairs. I’m sure the neighborhood is safe, especially with neighbors only a few feet away, it just seems strange. I’m thinking if I get the alarm installed, I can activate the downstairs motion at night allowing me to leave the windows open. I’ll just have to remember to deactivate it in the morning!

I spent most of the day at the house playing, helping with the fans and reading. I finally made it to the office about 4:30 for a staff meeting and to do payroll. Batch came over for dinner, and we were going to watch a movie. I had moved a bunch of the TV stuff around when we ran the coax to the new spot, so we had to take some time and reassemble some of the stuff. I decided to pull out the evid’s and start using them as well, so by the time we got ready to watch something it was after 9. We ended up watching the first episode of 24, season three. I hadn’t remembered most of the episode, so clearly I need a refresher course and he doesn’t think he has seen it, so we may be starting a marathon.

I think that’s about all I’ve got for tonight.

Or Maybe Not

I tried to get a straight answer this morning as to when we would be closing escrow. Angela is still pushing for Friday it seems. The escrow officer was trying to tell me the 15th, but the loan people want to push it through by the 7th and that was all she would say. I’m kind of hoping that if we push hard enough to close this week that maybe we can actually close mid next week. If we closed Wednesday, it could actually be nice, giving me Thursday to get appliances in and the long weekend to move. I probably won’t be that lucky, although it is only really two business days ahead of the day we need to close the loan by, the 7th.

Other than that it was pretty much just the typical work day. Toman came by and got the weather station server up and running again – the hard drive had failed. I did stop by and measure the washer for the house. I think I’m just going to go with the top of the Whirlpool that probably has more features and is bigger than I will ever need, but is rated the highest. I think I’m going to call of go back to Pacific Sales tomorrow to order the refrigerator, washer and dryer and see what I can work out as well as delivery at a yet unknown date and time. I also returned my Time Warner DVR, so I am HDTV less until I decide to cough up the money at the new house.

P.S. I seriously enjoyed the cooler weather today. I really need to invest in a ceiling fan for the office. I just can’t figure out how to do it…

Sleeping In

I slept in till like 9:30 or 10 this morning, it was amazing. I don’t even know where it came from. I was awake at 5 something like usual and then next thing I knew it was after 9:30! I immediately jumped out of bed to be lazy watching TV while eating breakfast. I spent what little I had left of my free time looking at houses and pondering things to teach elders quorum tomorrow. I also enjoyed our left overs from Ruth’s Chris last night and then went to the Boys and Girls Club Auction to take pictures. I also got to try and play computer technician, but wasn’t able to solve the software problem Larilyn was having.

Slacking on the Writing

OK, so I haven’t been writing much this week. In part, there hasn’t been much to write. I also know that is just an excuse and there is always something to write about. That’s what forcing yourself to write every night will teach you: to make something up if nothing really happened. No, that’s not true. Something always happens, even on the most routine of days. The problem is typically that I’m not willing to take the time some nights to actually figure out what interesting things happened during a day that I’m calling boring.

It was an interesting week with it being a short week in the office for me since I took off Monday. I was fairly busy all of the week, but it still hasn’t been the busy like I’m used to. Looking at the financials, our sales are definitely down and we need to come up with a plan to turn that around. We’ve been working on quoting a bunch of things, but quotes don’t pay the bills.

I’ve been looking at houses on redfin and have found a few that might have some potential. Actually, there was a fire in Murrieta behind one of them today! I was looking at satellite imagery of where a brush fire was and thought I recognized one of the houses/lots. Sure enough, it was one I had looked at. (The house wasn’t on fire, just some brush in a nearby greenbelt.) I’m thinking in the next few weeks I will work on getting prequalified for a loan and then maybe go look at some houses. I’m ready to get moving on this project. Of course, I’m a little cautioned by the drop at work, but I have faith that  it will work out – we just need to retool and push forward.

I didn’t make it to Disneyland on Friday with Lauren and her gang as was planned Thursday night. When I got into the office (to take care of the funds transfer for payroll), I ended up having to deal with WaMu for more than a half hour as they wouldn’t let me do a transfer between my accounts. I also found that Paychex had tried to debit our account when there were no funds in there, the idea behind the account, for something they shouldn’t have been charging us for. To their surprise, the transaction was returned and we were charged for a NSF transaction. After getting the ball rolling with that and getting payroll squared away, it wasn’t going to be worth the drive to Disneyland since I had to be back for a wedding that afternoon. Tara was trying to get me to go out and do something instead of staying at work. We couldn’t come up with anything and I actually was able to be somewhat productive in the office. Tata had suggested taking Mandi (as she was the only one she knew of who had the day off) to the beach, the zoo, the mall, etc, yet none of them sounded all that appealing.

Thursday, Tata was trying to convince me that I needed to get my act in gear and get married. She said that if I didn’t have a date on Friday night, I should be at the single’s dance. I tried to explain that the whole dance thing just wasn’t going to happen, but she wouldn’t take no for an answer. I finally got off the hook by telling her that if she got me out of the wedding, I would come up with a date for date (Friday) night. Fortunately, she didn’t come up with someone to work a wedding, so I didn’t have to come up with a date and was able to enjoy a nice quiet evening at home. I really do enjoy quiet evenings at home by myself probably a bit too much.

Today I watched too much TV. So much in fact that my DVR started at 99% full and when I finished I think it was close to 30%! It helped that I was able to delete a bunch of programming with only watching a few minutes of it to figure out that I had already seen the episodes. This evening I watched 1408, a movie about a haunted hotel room. It was fairly interesting, I’d give it 3/5 stars and while not really scary, it kept my interest, which can be hard after a day of watching TV already. I keep thinking that I need to watch less TV and spend more time reading, but I haven’t put that plan into action yet. Heck, I haven’t even seen, heard or read the Sunday sessions of conference from a month ago now!
